Our methodology and learning practices
The main focus of lessons is on speaking and listening. To use a language correctly, you must first be able to speak it. Reading and writing are also essential, but language is primarily introduced through speaking. All of our coaches are professional, highly motivated native speakers. Their sole objective is the learners' success. Each coach has been trained by Let's Talk Lingo experts on how to effectively apply our language training methods and utilise our specially designed materials for individuals or small groups. We consider each learner's unique goals and integrate them into the courses, which are tailored to accommodate different learning styles. A variety of training techniques are used. Although the aims of each session are clearly defined, coaches will use a variety of techniques during the lesson. Different learning styles and contexts are considered: helping the learner to use the language in different real life situations
You are encouraged to express opinions and experiment with the new language you have learned. Learners have the opportunity to speak as much as possible and are encouraged to use the language actively throughout the learning process. Coaches keep their talking time to a minimum to allow learners the maximum amount of practice during a training session. |
Only the target language will be used in the lesson. The trainer will not provide translations; instead, they will assist you in discovering the meanings of words based on the context. This process will be gradual and careful, ensuring each learner has enough time to understand the language fully. We build on your personal knowledge of the language!
previous knowledge of a topic is checked before presenting new language. If you already know a word or can use a structure, we will take it from there. Learn language patterns through examples, not explanations. Understanding the language in context encourages the learners to develop comprehension skills for general understanding. These abilities are required in everyday communication. Even grammar is learned by active example rather than through long and tedious grammar explanations. Books are closed during the first few lessons. The language is introduced to the learner through speaking before it is presented in the written form. The Course Book is later used exclusively for reading, writing, listening and speaking practice. |
